What can be done about acrid smoke from a neighbours fire spoiling our enjoyment sitting in our garden in the evening? It really burns the nostrils.

Do you think you could have a friendly conversation with them? You never know that they don't know that it's causing a problem for you it's going to be a lot better for both parties instead of it getting confrontational?

I do understand you and it isn’t nice but if there Chimenea pipe is 1 meter higher than their roof then they are legal.
The bad odeur is probably because they burn painted, varnished wood……

Try to have a calm conversation with them or invite them to come at your property the moment they start there Chimenea…

Don't think you can do much really if it's just smoke coming out a normal chimney.

Maybe your neighbors are old or sick and feel the cold.
Could you plug in a fan behind you to blow the smoke away?
