The cigarette lighter was invented before the match and there is no word in the English language which rhymes with MONTH.

The LG stands for'Life's Good'.
It came into being in 1995 when the Korean 'Lucky Star' company reinvented themselves and changed it.

SNOBS
An old word used to describe the UPPER CRUST!
It derived when scholarships were awarded to clever children to attend Oxford or Cambridge years and years ago. The vast majority of students were from the Nobility. The Nobility were referred to as the Nobs consequently their sons were referred to as SNOBS.

The Lord of the Manor got the top of the bread,(the upper crust)
While the others of the household got the bottom half of the loaf

Under dog,

I was selling motor vehicles to LG in the 1980s and they went by the name of Lucky Goldstar
