No more bank charges for over 65s withdrawing cash in Spain

Iyve never been charged for drawing out cash over the counter, hady anybody else.

Only done it a couple of times but not been charged.

Did you read the info on the link ,it does say that most of the banks have voluntarily stopped charging this makes it a legal requirement

Isn't the charge lumped in with your bank charges so you mightn't even be aware you were paying it. I know it is very expensive to make a lodgment at the counter rather than doing self service lodgment at the cash machine.

Personally I find it hard to conceive of any circumstance in which I might want or need to draw money over the counter at my own or any bank and frankly I'm offended by the suggestion that over 65's are too stupid to take advantage of digital banking!

I had to get 2k out in cash today, can't get that amount out at the cash point. So I had to use the counter service.
