marcliff wrote:Obviously depends on type etc. Spanish NHS obviously the cheapest. I checked three places (Optica Rodriguez and Optica Optima in Quesada and Specsavers. I have moderate hearing loss and was quoted between 3,000 and 3,800 for both depending on battery or bluetooth connection. These were the almost "invisible" ones (they aren't but at least don't look like ancient hearing horns).
Online, one advertiser said between 900 and 2,000 euro but when I checked the cheapest were 2,900 euro but seemed they were basic.
If you find any cheaper please let me know. I haven't bought them yet as only "moderate" and will have another hearing test in the middle of the year.
just had a hearing test was quoted 3,000, cant afford that i could take up sign language

Although i agree that they are expensive for what they are, they cost significantly more than 50e to make. I know as i used to work for a company that made them. If you want a no frills cheap and nasty Chinese piece of crap that will break in a month on the other hand, then sure, go for it.
Each one has to be tailor made to the individual clients ear canal and there are multiple additional options to choose from.

Cheaper to go back to Uk, I bought mine in Specsavers they are rechargeable plus Bluetooth so various things I can do with them and they were £2000 worth having a look around tho they do need to be adjusted to your ears tho so off the shelf ones probably won’t be any good.
