Best Way to travel from Ciudad Quesada to Alicante..?
Best Way to travel from Ciudad Quesada to Alicante..?
by Upstream » Fri Jan 12, 2024 10:34 am
Hi - I'm after some advice. I'm planning a day out in Alicante city and wondered whether it's best to just drive or not. I'd prefer to park at a train or tram station and just jump on a train or tram if possible. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Drive to San Isidro (Catral) train station and leave the car there ( free). Get on the train , takes about 50 minutes . Go out of the train station turn right and walk straight down and you come to the main road where Marina and beach is.
Lovely day out without the hassle of driving into Alicante.

Thanks - I wasn't aware of any local companies offering such a service. Are there any specific ones you'd recommend?
Thanks again.

Costa Blanca coaches (Dave's coaches) and Rosa tours both do pick ups at the Arches and by Consum in Dona Pepa. Dave's go on Wednesday for 11 euro and Rosa tours Tuesday and Wednesday for 10 euro.

If you want the convenience of the car then Parking Plaza de Canalejas on Av del Almte Julio Guillen Tato is very convenient and easy to access and exit. Come straight in the N332 passing the port entrance continue straight on the N332 keeping in the right-hand lane (you will have all the trees of Parque Canalejas on the other side of the road) until you meet the raised Childrens Funfair on your right on top of the underground parking Canalejas. Drive up to the traffic lights just past the Funfair and take the exit to your right, keeping right back around the back of the Funfair onto Av del Almt Julio Guillen. The entrance to the Car Park is about halfways down. Your return journey. Turn left out of the car park back up to the traffic lights and cross the traffic lights to get to the other side of the N332.

Yes the trains run at the weekends
Look on Renfe timetable for times.
You can get the tickets from machine at the station and we have actually paid the train conductor when we couldn’t get the ticket at the station
Happy in the sun.
