Loss Of Satellite Channels

Re: Loss Of Satellite Channels

I have got most of the HD channels but cannot get BBC4. Someone on here gave me some advice about the settings last year that got me all the other HD channels but I did not notice BBC4 until now. I'm using the decoder inside a Samsung TV. Any advice please.

We have also lost ITV 3 and ITV 4. No problem with BBC 4. Don't fancy doing a re-scan though.

I did a blind scan and like you can't get the channels.

I had a similar problem. I called Lee, who came, checked dish alignment then found that the cable was rotted away, cable replaced at a very reasonable price and all good. ITV3,4 & ITVbe SD have been removed. As for BBC4 HD isn't it Cbeebies until early evening, then BBC4???

ITV3 ITV4 ITVBE in standard definition have ceased broadcasting on the 9th January 2024, and are only available in HD - as announced by ITV in December 2023.
The "+1" for these channels are still available (currently!)

And as ITV are moving their SD channels around, to make room for more HD channels, you can expect to do a few rescans to make sure you keep the ITV SD channels...for however long they continue for.

BBC 4 HD and CBeebies HD "timeshare" the same frequency
Same goes for BBC 3 HD and CBBC HD.
On a non Sky or Non Freesat receiver, if you do a scan between 0600 and 1859 and you get the kids channel listed.
On a non Sky or Non Freesat receiver, if you do scan between 1900 and 0559 and you get BBC 3 / 4 channel listed.
