Boo!! Hoo!!
Perhaps the UK should apply the restrictions on Spanish citizens equally to those applied to UK citizens in Spain.

UK seems to have gone out of its way to be mean spirited, if not downright vindictive, to EU citizens who were legally residing there prior to Brexit so one could not blame the EU for reciprocating but they won't principally because it's not actually an EU issue but up to each individual mnenber state how they handle the provisions of the WA.

The entire process is a mess. The woman in question appears to have the correct status. Not a good look for the UK, but I suppose they don't care much now anyway.
However, if it were to continue, the EU would have no option but to respond in kind.
The joys of Brexit.

But its fine if you just turn up in a dinghy
Keep your face always towards the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you

If it's in the guardian, take it with a pinch of salt. As reliable for truth as the beano, like all the other tabloids.
If it is true, then that doesn't surprise me one bit either. The people that own the uk are doing their best to run it into the ground. Then you got anti British rags like the guardian stirring up crap and getting the EU to put attention on the Brits that live abroad.
And since when was protecting the boarders a priority? They ship in thousands of male illegal africans (kalgeri plan) each month with no documentation so talk about shutting the door once the horse has bolted.
