I remember when the first CDs came out, the excitement as we all gathered round and played the first CD in our family. Being able to press skip and jump straight to the start of a song without fast forwarding or rewinding, the high quality stereo audio was incredible to our young ears.

I cannot remember the last time I used a CD, everything is mp3 now. Abel to store thousands of albums on one tiny little SD card, with album covers, tracklistings and all. Its amazing!

I had a scart to hdmi converter. Fine for CDs but terrible quality on DVD. Tried 3 different ones and varied from no picture to quite dark and blurry.

Same with my old VHS tapes which I have now converted to DVD and they play very well on my DVD player which you can buy for about 25 to 30 euro. Cheaper than the 3 converters I bought.

Scart Convertor cable are directional and you will get problems if you by a scart to hdmi when you should have a hdmi to scart you can get multi directional cables but the ones in the chinese are of very poor quality

Won't get much more local than that.

Hi Marcliff, thanks for the suggestion. The electrodomestico does have them but only with scart connectors. The lady in there thought they had HDMI ...she checked but sadly only scarts.

Dratt!
