How to get rid of an American fridge?

Hi all,

We inherited a large American style LG branded fridge from the people we purchased our villa from. It is a bit beaten up looking but still working.

Any suggestions on the best way to get rid of it?

Offer it for free, I am sure people may want an outside fridge or for the garage.

If its still working you could leave it by the bins outside and it will 100% be gone the next day

689 600 184. Rojales town hall will collect large furniture, large electrical items and so on. They will tell you where to leave it if you live on an urbanisation and the day it will collect it. Leave it in the area they say the evening before.

Just dumping them outside or by the bins is what is making some of our areas a disgrace.

Thanks everyone and sorry for the lateness of my reply. All good suggestions. I might give the Rojales town hall a buzz and see what they say. As we are in Algorfa district, they may tell me I need to contact the ayuntamiento de Algorfa but we will see.

Just an update for anyone else looking to get rid of a large appliance. I contacted Algorfa town council and was told there was no specific collection from your house of household items and that we should leave the fridge out beside the bins on a Wednesday evening. We were conscious of what Marcliff said about items by the bins making the area look untidy so we waited until 9pm to put it out and this morning at 8am, it had already been collected.

The refuse collection is a great service here in Spain.
