Passport

Hi everyone, hope you can help.

My partner is 74 and never intends to travel outside Spain. His passport ran out last year. He is a resident and has a TIE card. Does he still need to renew his passport?

Re the above replies may be correct but the passport office will tell you that your passport is the property of the government and should not be given to a third party who is not a U.K. approved official. And I know it’s stupid.

Our friend hadn't bothered renewing his passport for approx 10 years, the bank accepted it as did the hospital and undertaker's when he died
