I was sent my forms by email as the post office never deliver to me

MjU.es is the Spanish Minstry of Justice so going on what a previous poster said that would be right if a Justice of the Peace has to sign it or a Commissioner for Oaths. What difference does it make who signs the form you could put anybody's name on it as it is just a box ticking exercise as the person who signs is never contacted anyway.

Yes, our forms came from the DWP by post, including an addressed envelope for return.

Just for clarity, the method we used (seeing a Justice of the Peace), was the option we chose. There were loads of options listed on the forms, such as a pharmacist, dentist, specified bank personnel, the well known "professional person or a person of good standing in the community" and so on.

Gustav how did your Solicitor verify the credentials of the person who called? I presume the person calling from the UK was fluent in Spanish. You would have thought they would send back a written communication to your Solicitor so that they had an official record. We had a case in Ireland where a son was collecting his late parents pensions for 33yrs.

There was also two men who took the corpse to the post office to collect his pension, that was in Ireland too
