state pension

been on my online bank,should have got state pension paid in yesterday but not there also this morning anyone else having this problem.thankyou.

if its due on Monday it should go into your account midnight Friday preceding. mine always does and has never missed.

If the bank that pays the pension is in America, and America collapses and goes into civil war, i wonder how that will affect the bank that pays those pensions? Will the pensions stop?

Not necessarily.

Wife's is due on a Monday but rarely is it paid on the preceding Friday.
Perhaps she should change her name to Mrs Angry

Mine is due on a Friday but has been late maybe 3 or 4 times recently.

For those who may not know the day your pension is due depends on the final 2 digits of your NI number.

00 to 19 Monday
20 to 39 Tuesday
40 to 59 Wednesday
60 to 79 Thursday
80 to 99 Friday

Delays can be because of US Federal holidays which for 2024 are as below, you'll notice that Jan 15th was one which is why SOME payments MAY have arrived early.

Mine ends in 10 so is due on Mondays. as banks are closed weekends mine is always paid on the preceding Friday at midnight in order to be available first thing Monday morning. Obviously some pensioners are paid on the due day . Can't wait for March, 5 pay days if paid Friday midnight or April if you are paid on Mondays. this happens 4 times a year.

Mine was stopped end of December when I rang the Pension Centre they say it was because I had not filled in a for they said they had sent me but I had not recieved any forms from them I had to go through security on the phone and tey email the form to me but I ave to send it back by snail mail also they said they would reinstate the payments immiediatly I get paid weekly not monthly but when I checked today it is not in my uk bank so back to the phone again today

I started my pension in May. They stopped it in September until I filled in & sent a life form

Mine was due Tuesday but received it Monday so probably the bank holding it up. My wife's was 3 days late last week, we are with Sabadell.

we have received firms to be filled in and witnessed by a non relative ir friend to confirm we are still alive (both 81) so we took it to our accountant to be signed and we will send registered post back today.
