A policeman former rugby playing colleague told me that the mistake people make when/if dealing with burglars,etc is to call the police when the perpetrator is still on your premises.Immobilise them and take them elsewhere.Any comeback?Deny it.
A neighbouring village to here in the UK had a lot of trouble with one particular family.Reports to the police fell on deaf ears.Let's say that a small group of like minded neighbours encouraged this family to cease and desist and persuaded them to find somewhere else to live.Uncivilised maybe but effective.

The individuals to whom I referred were locals few of whom commit petty crimes with a firearm and would likely be known to their victims who would identify them.They wouldn't be armed all the time.
It goes without saying that even a black belt holder would be unlikely to tackle an armed opponent unless he came too close.

An electric/battery stock fence will give you a nasty belt but if they have rubber soles on it wont be effective?

Police don't police any more, as they are powerless and today's robbers , thieves, scumbags know it, there's no deterrent,
Prison if sent, 4 meals , sports, gym, libary ....no bills no work,equals no worries , accommodation found when released,
All on strength of taxpayers and they are decreaseing,
