Watch out - housebreakers about again

Watch out - housebreakers about again

Postby Jansl » Sat Feb 03, 2024 11:39 am

Hi all,
Don't mean to frazzle nerves, but the scumbags are back again. Just heard a house at the top of Rojales Hills ( area towards the waterpark), was broken into early last Saturday evening. The owners were out for just over an hour, in that time the intruders had somehow torn off a window grill & ransacked the place.
Realise we can't turn our homes into a fortress, but a time to be extra vigilant

These look like the same two who were first in my neighbours, before coming into mine last year, the scum ripped my cameras off the house wall £420, smashed a piece of glass artwork worth £400, tried to push up a blind but broke it. Wish I’d had the mains wired up to the metal blinds they broke to electrocute them..
Why they can’t do what the rest of us do.. get a job!

because it is easier to steal
You can wire metal shutters up to a low voltage system like a animal fence uses but you must have warning notices posted round the property

Does that mean you can wire up your grills?

I am not in the quesada area but blue lagoon near villa martin
Our neighbours had the same about a year ago, they just went out for a meal for an hour or so, and in that time they ripped off the metal security bars covering the bedroom window got in and took everything
They much have been watching them to find out their routine, and knew the neighbours at the back were non residents and not there at that time
Our house overlooks the back of theirs but they have a high wall where the bedroom window is located and i didnt hear anything despite it being just late afternoon and being at home
I think they were possibly followed at some point when driving home as they have a new shiny black landrover and the thieves must have suspected they had money
My jalopy is 17 years old , but in excellent condition, so they must have thought i wasn't worth targetting
Anyway since then i have installed solar security lights everywhere, a DIY alarm system and what i consider one of the best deterrents, a ring doorbell
I can see anyone that has been nosing around on the recordings now
It doesn't guarantee it wont happen to me but at least i have some security in place, and of course our living alarm, our dog

Not a great idea unless you want to go to jail for manslaughter

I hope that having a monitored alarm will stop these vermin.
