Not sure the cycle line going round the roundabout there is a good idea with so many cars turning right there...

Cyclelist don't seem to use the cycle lane, well they didn't today,
Pack cycling on opposite side to cycle lane, what a waste of money

I suppose it'll stop everyone trying to overtake before they get to the roundabout at Mercadona.[/quote]

I've regularly seen people hit 100kph to satisfy their 'got to get one car in front and I'll risk my life and other people's to do it' mentality ! On that short stretch of road !

Gustav, large groups / cycling clubs (or packs?) of cyclists don’t use bike lanes, there are far too many of them and they ride way too fast for narrow bike lanes which are usually disjointed, quite short and often obstructed with bollards etc;
I cycle fairly regularly but these guys make most of us average cyclists look like we’re stationary!

From what I could see just driving past, it stops abruptly just where it meets the oncoming traffic turning into the Chinese. That should be interesting when cyclists meet cars head on who will actually give way??

:text-lol:
You’ve clearly got an issue with cyclists Gustav. I always think that all drivers should spend a week or two cycling to see just how vulnerable you are on a bike and how bad SOME drivers really are.

That said, there are indeed many many bad and inconsiderate cyclists who are extremely dangerous! As a driver (and cyclist) I am shocked at some of the driving we all see almost daily in Spain, simply atrocious! Like everything else in life, there’s good and bad.

What is more dangerous is when you turn into Atalaya Park now, the cycle lane is coming from the right. It's difficult to see if scooters etc. are coming along it until you have turned the corner, which means the car is already crossing the cycle lane.
