Change of ownership. Sorted now.

for a dog, i have been told it can be done online, if so i thought the vet had to change the chip and stamp the paperwork ? sorted now, you dont have to go to the vet.

Chip will stay in only new owner & address change

Dr Dolittle on here should be able to help you. He/she did a change of ownership in December.

Its me asking i have been told so many different things.

Sorry I need to go to Specsavers!! Was the Vet no help? When I have done it in past here in Ireland I just submitted the paperwork to the Irish Kennel Club as the dog was registered with them so they just transferred the ownership and sent me the new Registration Cert with my name as new owner.

I'm shocked your vet hasn't helped as I'm guessing that would've been your first port of call?

Usually Vet scans chip, then enters new owners details, and gives paperwork to new owner stamped and signed by both parties.

Yes your can do it online I believe, but I think for your own peace of mind go in person with the dog to your Vet, that way you will know it has all been done properly.
