Professional Official TRANSLATOR Required
Professional Official TRANSLATOR Required

I have an official English document for which the Spanish Authorities require an official
translation.
I prefer to visit the translator direct rather than through a third party to keep the
cost reasonable
Any advice on where would be appreciated. TIA

The scan facility in Google Translate should do it, and it will cost you nothing.
Hopefully not too complicated for you.

As stated the Spanish authorities require official translations of documents, which must be done by a translator who is registered for that specific job by the authorities.
Don't think a Google translation comes anywhere near being a legal document.

Hi, I had the same need for an official translator for a UK Home Office document.
I used Yolanda Cervia Espana, a Traductora-Interprete Jurada de ingles, Reg No 8450.
I Ms. Yolanda Cervià España - Traductora Jurada
[email protected] - 661.861.581
Sworn Translator of English & Spanish & Catalan
Member no 8450 (Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
Member no 1133 (Regional Government of Catalonia)
As I recall, I spoke to her about the job on the phone and was able to email her copies of the documents I wanted translated, she emailed a translated copy back within 24 hours, and the hard copy with the necessary official stamps reached me by courier the following day.
Her fee two years ago was €25 per document, plus €10 for courier.
I can thoroughly recommend her,
Ed

Thanks for that post edOD.
I got a couple of quotes last week to have two documents translated, both quotes came in at around the €120/€130 mark.
We rang Yolanda at lunchtime today then scanned the documents to her, in just over 3 hours we had both documents translated into electronic copies, the hard copies she is posting to us, all in it only came to €73.
Very impressed, she deserves all the work that comes her way.
