TRANSFER OF MONEY SPANISH BANK ACCOUNT TO UK

I am in the process of selling my apartment. I have been told that the sale proceeds will be paid into my spanish Sabadell account

Which is the best currency transfer company to use please?

Also I use Wise to transfer money from my UK Account to my Spanish account. Has anybody used Wise to transfer money from Spanish account to their UK account and if so was the process fairly easy

Hi, our friend who sold his mums villa used a place in the sun to transfer his money into his English account. He said doing bank to bank it would have cost a fortune. We use a place in the sun to transfer into our Spanish account, we always get a good rate with hardly any charges. I have posted a link below.

You need to know, that the Sabadell charge large fees for releasing more than €20,000 at any one transaction. Their exchange rate also is horrendous.
I bank with them. So I know.
So I moved 120k Euros from Sabadell and found the best deal was Currencies Direct, but it was found to be better to transfer into their Spanish account so..
They told me the exchange rate, I made 7 payments into their Spanish account I wanted each to be under €20k so no fees to pay Sabadell, with instructions to pay Sterling into my uk Sterling account.
They were fantastic, the money was transferred over 7 working days 24 hours after transferring the funds.
I had no fees.
In the UK my business I just sold used Currencies direct since 2001. Mainly to pay USD invoices in the USA but also to convert euros back to Sterling. So it was the obvious choice for me when I wanted personal exchanges done, I shopped around. They were the best for large sums.
Currencies direct have an office in Ciudad Quesada. It won’t harm to call in and ask.
You will be surprised how good they are.

If you have a wise account try to get your money paid into that if it’s not too late,easier than messing about with transfers.Good luck.By pass Sabadell if you can.Its just as easy to transfer €to £ as the other. Way.

I've done it. You can easily use Wise to transfer the funds back to the UK. As has been said, if you can, get the sale proceeds paid directly into your Wise euro account. If not then transfer the euros from Sabadell to Wise on their app. Euro to euro transfers are free, although you may have to do it in batches if Sabadell has a transfer limit. Once you are holding the euros in Wise you can wait for the sterling exchange rate to be favourable and then transfer it again either to your Wise sterling balance or direct to a UK bank account. You will only incur the usual Wise fees that way.
