£ (UK) to € (Spain) currency swap for house sale

Hi. Can anyone shine some light on the best method to get my cash thats sitting in a UK bank into a Spanish bank to pay for a pending house sale? Is there such a thing as a company that can deal with this, or is it a straight forward process………. I dont know. Thanks

I second the wise account, have used it for the last 4 years and never experienced any problems.
The exchange rates are pretty good as well, better than the banks.

For a large amounts, I usually use Currency Direct. There is no comissing as u pay £ in UK account & the amount agreed is credited in ur Spanish AC within a few minutes or vice versa.
They have opened a branch on top of the high street in Quesada.

You can send up to £5 million per transfer with Wise so hopefully that is large enough. The transfer time is measured in seconds it is that quick. It is, however, important to check how many actual euros you will receive if you are comparing providers. Those advertising 'no commission' will almost inevitably have poorer exchange rates to compensate.

We used Revolut, no commission and best exchange rates, you might have to prove where your money had come from xx

Have a look at Atlantic money which was posted on here by someone not so long ago. Cheaper than anything else out there. I have a Wise account but for house purchase it appears nothing will beat Atlantic Money for a significant transfer of funds for a £3 fee. I will be using them when I find a property . You have to provide and upload evidence of funds, passports & personal information to open an account so you should do that ASAP to be accepted. If anyone else have used them I would be very interested in your experience and feedback. I understand they were also mentioned on the Martin Lewis MSE website for any transfers over 2k.
