Where is Torrevieja?

Torrevieja is a coastal town on the Costa Blanca in Spain. It is south of the city of Alicante and about 30 minutes drive from Alicante Airport. Torrevieja was originally a small fishing village. It is situated between the sea and two large salt lakes. The salt lakes are reputed to give the area a healthy microclimate. Over the years Torrevieja has vastly expanded, mainly due to the tourist industry.

It is the second healthiest place in the world apparently............because of the amount of salt in the air. The healthiest place is in America....the name evades me!!
