Changing name on iberdrola and agamed bills

Changing name on iberdrola and agamed bills

Postby angiebabes » Fri Jan 19, 2018 1:30 pm

Hi Help !!! We live in our Sons property and pay all the bills. We asked at agamed office in Torrevieja if we could have the name changed on the bills to our names. We took the paper bills with corresponding bank statements, but was told without the house deeds Not possible !!
We then went to iberdrola office in Torrevieja , explained the same question and was told to ask our Son to write a letter to state that he would like the contract changed from his name to ours. No mention of deeds !!! We are hoping to get residencia later in the year and are worried in case they ask to see utility bills . We have NIE numbers and on the padron.

As far as I am aware they require the deeds to be in the name of the person/persons responsible this is what someone was told two days ago in Guardamar!

This would be a similar situation to somebody renting a property - a letter from the owner-landlord should suffice. I don't think deeds are required. Ask around if you have neighbours renting.
