electric charges for Holiday home owners

electric charges for Holiday home owners

Postby Margymdp1 » Mon Feb 15, 2016 9:46 pm

We are holiday home owners, and our last 2monthly electric bill was 53 euros and the quarterly water bill was 47 euros, whilst we were here in England. Is that about right?
We don't receive paper bills it is just taken out of our bank account.

Yes that is about right as ours is the same and we are in England and haven't been in Spain for nearly 4 months.

We usually go to Spain for a month at a time and during the month we are there the bills only go up by about 10 to 20 euros.

Yes that's about right I pay similar amounts to you, a standard charge on each, a bit annoying really when you haven't used anything, however that's Spain for you.

But presumably you get electronic bills or someone gets them on your behalf? If not, it really is advisable to track these down if for no other reason than to know your contract details and that the bills have your name and address on them! One doesn't want any nasty surprises at some future date :-)
