Iberdrola Month End Hike?

Iberdrola Month End Hike?

Postby Andrew Hardy » Thu Mar 01, 2018 12:58 pm

For the past 3 months i have been monitoring our electricity usage on a daily basis using both sites (the Client area on the app and distribution electrica site) and at the end of every month there is a jump in value from the amount used to the invoice value of around 30 euros. It seems to bear no resemblance to the tax value, or any other cost I can find and if you break it down to a daily or monetary (pro rata) amount it is simply incalculable. Anyone else experienced it and managed to discover what it is?

There was a 2.6% increase in Iberdrola's charges, as of February, although as you're suggesting the month end hike has been happening regularly, this wouldn't account for previous spikes.

It's probably a catch up cost from Iberdrola The government changed the rules last autumn and Iberdrola can place a small amount on each bill until they have caught up with their costs. If you call Iberdrola they will explain the reasons for this.

It just doesn't relate to anything on the monthly bill at all. I look forward to seeing what it is.
There is obviously an explanation but its incalculable!
I'll keep you posted!
