Re day and night tariff - is it a more economic option and how easy is it to change? Thanks

It is very easy to change over, you just go into the shop and they will do it for you. Yes it is much more economical if you stick to the hours, mine are something like in the winter 10pm - 12 midday and summer 11pm - 1pm the next day so you have to use your washing machine at those times along with other electrical equipment. I don't particuarly like it as I like to do washing whenever I want but if I do the washing out of those hours it's probably double the price for electric, I also use my cooker out of the cheap hours as that's when we have dinner 6pm - 7pm., we uopted for it mainly for the aircon as we have it on all through the night in summer. I wondered if it was the best option for us as we have 2 computers on all day, lights, a playstation, bathroom heater when I have a bath/shower and when I asked in the shop they said yes it was the best choice for us. Our last bill was 150 and we've had 2 aircons on constantly for the past month because of the bad weather causing damp here and there.

You can also do it on their website. They have a range of other plans : weekend, stable, winter, summer and the one I'm on which is the 8 hour plan. You choose which 8 hours you want to have cheap rate, I have 8-11 in the mornings and 5-10 in the evenings. That's the time I use the most electricity. I have the water heater on a timer for the same times and a ceramic panel heater in the living room and one in the hallway. They are both only 425 watts so having both on even over night it only cost about 15 cents an hour for the both. It keeps my apartment warm enough over the cold months.
