Natural gas

Not that much. Depends on the power rating of the aircon but our bill doesn't rise significantly when we use it a lot.
As inverters act by cooling or warming the outside air, it will depend on outside air temp but you can get up to 3 times the amount of power out as in. For example, a 1.5kw rated aircon will give around 4kw of heat but you only pay for 1.5kw. That costs about 18c and hour but reduces as the room warms up and would average out around 12 cents an hour over a 4 or 5 hour period. A 3kw electric heater, on the other hand, will use 3kw each and every hour cost about 36 to 40 cents an hour.
Aircon usually has built in dehumidifiers as well which will keep the moisture in the air down while gas fires will produce about 1 l of water for every 1kg of gas burned and you may need an extra dehumidifier to keep the moisture down.
And, again, it will depend on how old the aircon is. Older ones are not as efficient and, especially the non-inverter type, can be very noisy so you pays your money and you takes your choice, as they say.
Just remember, even if you only use 1 euro a day it will increase your bill by around 70 euros a two month billing period when you add on the taxes.

Is it sufficient to run one AC to heat the house? I thought 1 unit per room, than 70 euro to be multiplied on number of aircons?

Depends. We have ducted aircon so one unit does several rooms. We have one for upstairs and one for downstairs but we don't have them both on together. If you have an apartment, one unit would do the whole place. Most Euromarina properties had that fitted as standard.
Mind you, after having the windows changed to proper double glazing, fitting insulation in all the gaps then we have hardly used it all this year.
And, of course, you'd have to have a fire in each room as well unless you have one of those wood burners where the chimney goes up through the ceiling.
