I find that suits us better as we are usually out during the middle part of the day although I am thinking of changing the morning one to 8-12 so that we can get showers, dishwasher and washing machine all done before 12.

They do other tariffs as well such as weekend, winter and stable plans. Once you have a smart meter you can choose whichever one suits your lifestyle the best.

Just a point to note though, the unit prices for 8 hour tariffs are still more expensive than the straightforward night and day tariff. The biggest consumers of electricity are fires/heaters, water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, tumble driers and cold aircon, all of which can be programmed/used in the cheapest period of the day/night tariff.

As a point of interest the current tariffs are:

24 hour Standard (Stable plan)
€0.12988 /kWh
(Power charge €42.043426 kW year)

Night Plan
€0.074275 /kWh night €0.153033 /kWh day
(Power charge €42.043426 kW year)

8 hour plan
€0.074613 /kWh within hours €0.168531 /kWh outside hours
(Power charge €42.043426 kW year)

Although slightly more expensive I think the 8 hour plan would better serve our needs also. We use water heating for showers, dishwasher, washer & breakfast in the mornings, we are usually out during the day and we use aircon'/heating, cooker, hot water in the evenings (7pm til 12pm ish)

I know that Iberdrola try to sign you up for insurance on all the plans but are there any other pitfalls to avoid?

I don´t know the reason why but one thing it could be is that in Spanish the decimal point is actually a comma, they use the decimal point as a thousands separator symbol.

Hi. I am interested in getting a dual tariff type deal but can anyone tell me where the Iberdrola office is in Guardamar please? I don't know this area very well tbh. Thanks.
