Where is my meter?

Where is my meter?

Postby Ireneinveraray » Mon Nov 19, 2018 12:21 am

I’m receiving my electric bills monthly, so according to what I’m reading on the forum I should have a smart meter. Is this an actual meter that I can read, a meter that I can keep an eye on my usage? If so does anyone have any idea where it could be, because I haven’t a clue where it is.

Most meters are on the wall outside your property, and I mean way outside. If you live on a community ask your president where it is and they should have a key for it.

Do you live in an apartment or house?

If you live in an apartment the meter is likely to be in a cupboard with everyone else's meter. If in a house, the meter could be at the boundary of your property, visible from the road.

Thanks for that Marcliff, I’ve asked neighbors but they didn’t know. I’ll ask the president when he arrives back in Spain, or one of the committee.

If you have a smart meter sign up to Iberdrola Distribucion you can check your usage online either on a pc or on a phone with the app, daily, weekly or monthly and by time of day.
