Guardamar del Segura Beach - Costa Blanca

Guardamar del Segura beach is within an easy 10 minutes drive of Quesada. Guardamar has lots of restaurants, bars and shops in the town just behind the beach. Along the beach itself are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Many of the beach-side restaurants serve a very good value set menu ( Menu del dia ) which is usually three courses (with choices) including a beer, wine or soft drink.

On Wednesday mornings there is a street market in the town of Guardamar.

The beach at Guardamar is beautiful - It is long and wide with soft white sand.

As with most beaches in Spain, in the Summer there are Life-Guards and flags are flown by the Life-Guard stations to show when it is safe to swim. A green flag means it is relatively safe to swim, a yellow flag means to be extra careful in the water and to stay near the shore and a red flag means it's dangerous to go in the sea.

Hi, :text-welcomewave:
Not sure as last year the wooden beach huts suddenly were removed & we heard the owners had been asked to apply for the bars to be there, they'd only be so many permitted & they'd cost a lot in permissions. This is a good fb page to watch but nothing showing

The map above is good but I think a slightly shorter way is to leave Quesada by the entrance / exit on to cv 895 by the Happy Garden Restaurant. For variety we sometimes use the "snake road" right exiting from the golf course, it depends really upon which end of Guardamar you want to go to.

[Red = Danger

Flags are used on Spanish beaches as a way to state sea weather conditions. Most Spanish beaches of a relevant size/attendance display flags which can be either green, indicating safe bathing sea condition, yellow, indicating bathing with caution, or red, indicating bathing is prohibited or very dangerous

I google the webcam at Guardamar to see what the sea is like. I think you can google the status as well
