:text-thankyouyellow: Dot. We are planning to go on an overnight trip to Murcia when next over so can also visit Ikea whilst there. Any recommendations for places to buy nearer to Rojales would also be welcome.

Thanks Jan :D

I love reading other peoples questions and accompanying replies as I always seem to learn something or feel encouraged to try something/somewhere, etc.

I wasn't being critical-my husband is 6ft 2, and has quite happily been using sun beds and chairs from local outlets. He's not as yet had any problems.

Surely carrefour will be selling these soon? At least you can take stuff back if it is faulty...

I did see some in Aki in Habanaras that were a good quality and price, but had looked at the ones in Ikea at home and felt they were lighter to carry.

Hnos Garcia have 3 huge places in Torrevieja and each has a sizeable outdoor furniture display. The stores carry a much wider choice than what is published on their website, including beach loungers/chairs. I have found they can often beat Chinos on price and certainly quality and you can actually try them out in store. I actually got one with the wheels on as you can use it as a trolley to take your other stuff to beach on, plus weight isn't an issue if you get a nice sturdy one.

:text-thankyouyellow: Babu for that recommendation. I didn't realise there are 3 Hnos Garcia's and will certainly have a look around their stores. Good idea about a bed with wheels to double up as a trolley. It'll save muscle strain for my OH haha :text-lol:

We got ours from carrifour in Torri, good quality and better than those from the chinese shops, they are very flimsy and do not last.

Thanks all, you've been great with your suggestions. We have a few places to look at now which hopefully means lots of choice :D
