You're right about plug-in vacuums it's just that they are heavier and clumsy the modern rechageable ones are so light and easier to carry up and down stairs. I love my Henry

I had the same problem. Contacted Dyson Customer Services in Spain via email with Model No, Date of purchase and they sent a new battery pack FOC. Why not contact them

Hi Neil, as mentioned in my original post we have had this Animal V6 for almost 3 years and it has been used daily. So we'll outside of guarantee. How old was yours? Replacement ordered from Amazon for €39.99 free delivery. Regards Mike.

Amazon replacement arrive today. Only ordered Tuesday after having lost password for Amazon and communications to allow change to password. For info to all ordered with free delivery and was advised would receive on 30th or 31st October. So arrive today 5 - 6 days early, Fantastic. Battery fitted and works. Now on charge. Incidentally original was rated at 2100mAh whereas this replacement is at 3000mAh. Total price €39.99 Vs Dyson GBP60.00 Great deal and thanks again for the advice. Regards, Mike.

Don’t forget that the old one contains Lithium, which is a very toxic substance, so needs to be disposed of in a responsible way.

Glad you’re all up and running again, and soon to be squeaky clean.
