Where can I hire a wheelchair around Quesada?

Hi Everyone. We're back out at the end of Feb - Yipee!! We'll be coming with my son, my mum and my Mum's friend, it's the first time any of the family have been with us so naturally I'm very excited. My son reckons he's going in the pool!! As Mum's friend isn't that mobile we thought it would be sensible if we had a wheelchair, least then if she's struggling we can still get out and about and we can all walk out for dinner on an evening and not have to worry about driving.
Could any of you helpful people tell me where we might be able to hire one?

We hired a mobility scooter for my father-in-law from the hire centre as per Guapa's link and it was good quality and easy to use. Would be happy to recommend them.

Help Vega Baja is a great organisation. I have an annual membership. Not only do they give advice, but they loan out equipment, and if you have a visiting service if you are housebound. The social side of the organisation meets up in the Club, Quesada - most Thursday afternoons (there is usually one outing/meal a month.

Hi Sandra,

What part of Quesada do you live in as I have a wheelchair that you could borrow. I live in Donna Pepa 2.

Hello Sunny B,
February can be very nice during the day (in the sunshine) but very cold at night. We came over to Spain in February to view properties before we bought and don't usually go there in February nowadays as I feel the cold (wimp!).

It still should be better than the UK but just thought if you are bringing your Mum, she may want to pack her warm clothes and warm night-clothes & fleece blanket for her wheelchair. My Mum found it very cold at night when we brought her over once and that was in late March/ April. It's no doubt that the central heating in the UK spoils us!

We have found that every year is a bit different in Quesada month by month, so you may be lucky, but it's best to be prepared. I even take my gloves and warm jacket when going in April, just in case!

Have a lovely time and let us know what it was like.

Jan

Hi Hazel
Just wondered if you received the pm I sent you? I was wondering if I could take you up on your kind offer to borrow your chair? Many thanks Priscilla

Hazel...we have somebody going into our house on Dona Pepa 11 this evening for a week and they are taking their mum with them and she is in her 80s..she has just messaged me before leaving for the Airport do I know where I can get a Wheelchair from for her!!! A bit late I know but any help would be greatly appreciated by them they are willing to hire and pay for it so HELP PLEASE. We do have wifi so I can contact them this evening to advise them if I have arranged anything for them. They are not hiring a car but can arrange collection but drop off and pick up would be ideal for them.

Yours eternally grateful Liz and Allan ...Alegria. x
