Self employed work for UK company

hi all, we are moving over permanently later this year and we will be taking (very) early retirement. However I still want to keep doing some work and have arranged to do some report writing for a UK financial advisers for which I will invoice them for the hours I work. I estimate this to be circa 15 hours a week.
Can anyone tell me how to deal with the tax situation I.e. declare all income to our Spanish lawyers annually? If I am self employed, does this affect the health insurance I need to get? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi there,

If you register as self-employed in Spain you have to pay a social security contribution every month, I think it‘s 50€ for the first year, and goes up to 270€, you are then completely health insured.

You will need a tax advisor as you have to pay tax each quarter.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Tracey, how do you register? Can we do this before we come over? We will use a tax advisor for sure!
