I worked in spain for a year and paid contributions am i initialed to any medical cover?.

I'm no expert, but I worked and contributed in Spain for several years. I think you'll find you are covered whilst you are contributing, but not if you have now stopped and are still below state pension age. That's my situation anyway.

We worked in Spain for many years and I had the S1 for free medical but my partner did not. We tried many many times to pay contributions for him to gain medical but they would not let us. Eventually Rojales Town Hall told us that once you have paid contributions you have a medical number and that lasts for life and then put my partner on the SIP card from his medical number from working and that was when he was not working an more. So, therefore, you are entitled to a SIP card. Good luck,
