Hi all.

As a lot of us are, im currently not working due to Covid

My employer as just sent me an email to tel me to log into social security site to process my details to claim loss of earnings

A copy of my contract
Certificate de Empresa

Can anyone advise me what to do?
I’m at a brick wall

Majority of my friends say their managers processed all this info for them, and majority have had payments through already as if was done weeks ago

Is there a cut off!?
I have had my contracted terminated like a lot have

Any help would be appreciated

You need to go to the SEPE site. They are the State Unemployment Service in Spain and their website explains exactly what to do if you are on ERTE which is the temporary way of claiming the benefits available if your job is affected by the CV-19.

The website is here but the languages available are only Spanish dialects. If you open it using Google Chrome you can change it to English but the applications are PDF and Spanish only so you may need some help.

The Citizens Advice Bureau has a website which will explain it in English and is here but the links they provide are the same as the one I gave above.

Richtee - if you have had your contract terminated then you will be claiming ERE not an ERTE, which is where your contract has been temporarily suspended.
Applications for ERTE are completed by your employer on your behalf and because you are technically still employed by them you are not entitled to any redundancy pay.

With an ERE you need to make the application yourself but you may be entitled to a redundancy payment. The information provided by Marcliff should steer you in the right direction.
