We received a charge into our bank account for 43.46 Euros for "Embargoes" .
I was unsure what this was until Caixa sent me the letter below ...
Distinguished Sir: Distinguished Madam: We must inform you that, in accordance with the provisions of the General Tax Law (art.160 et seq.) and the General Collection Regulations (art.69 et seq.), we have been obliged to make, as of today, a withholding on your deposits for the amount specified at the bottom of this letter. This withholding, originated by administrative or fiscal debts in the process of constraint, has been ordered by the body that is cited, based on the prerogative that, in these circumstances, these legal provisions grant it. For this reason, we advise you to contact the body that ordered the embargo to deal with the matter and, if appropriate, to lodge the corresponding appeal to obtain the appropriate suspension of the administrative act. In this sense, we must mean that, if after twenty calendar days from the date of the retention the aforementioned body does not order us to suspend the embargo, we will be obliged to make the amount withheld effective. In the confidence that this is not necessary, we express our greetings to you. Kind regards

Yet I am still unsure what it means ...... Have I missed a payment of some kind ???
I actually thought all my payments was set up by Direct Debit ....
Any help appreciated ??
