Problems getting residency

Well we waited about six weeks to get an appointment for our residency. Thought we had everything we needed and were using be sure services to do the translation and paperwork. Malcolm picked us up nice and early this morning and drove us to Elche police station and we were knocked back because my pension isn’t paid into my Spanish account. New rule apparently. Just off the phone to dwp to change being paid into our Spanish bank. Need to see at least two payments being paid in before we can apply again.

Was this for an NIE or were you applying for Permanency as if you have been a resident of Spain for over 5 years you will have Permanency according to EU rules

No not NIE, residency. We have just moved here recently but have NIE, signed on the padron, next step was to become resident.

Firstly, I'd take the email address off the post as you may end up with loads of spam.

As to renewing a passport then yes, of course. You can do it online at
Renewing a passport from overseas

Or there are several post rooms dotted around who will do it for you but, of course, will charge.
