We have residencia and are due to move house in the next month. Is it just a straightforward address change or do we have to go through the whole process again? I assumed once you gained residencia that was it but have been told by a friend that their solicitor has advised they will have to re do it. Please someone tell me this isn’t true!

Where are you moving to?

Once you move, you can inform all the authorities at one go about your change of address. These include:
General State Administration
Trafico
Tax Agency
National Police (for NIE and residency)
Social Security and others

You firstly need to go on the padron at your new address. It will take a month or so for the padron to go through the system and then you can use the following link to notify everyone of your change of address

Online Address Change

You will need a clave or cl@ve to access it and the procedure for this has been posted on here a few times. If in doubt, go along to the SUMA office and they will help you get one.
It's the same system used in UK for the Government Gateway.#

That’s great, thanks Marcliff. We’re only moving up the road, still in Quesada.

You still need to update your padron, though.
