Good morning all,
Has anyone change their address on the new TIE card? we are moving locally in Quesada and will need to change the address on the TIE and driving licences. Any help on how to do this without going through a service provider would be appreciated.

TIA

Owen

Hi Owen, I’m have heard that some town halls can do this - you need to be on the Padron as they will require an updated one, so might need the house documents etc.
our town hall doesn’t do it, we went directly to driving test centre with passport, padron, licenses and copy and they did it all for 30e - received new licenses back in 2 weeks, issued temporary paper in the meantime.
Maybe the local Police can help re TIE.
Don’t forget your car SUMA documents/Insurance.

PS just seen an old post here from Feather re change of address did it at town hall.

The Catral driving test/medical centre is on the main road in Catral.
The best way I can describe where it is driving office is drive past cafe Uno towards centre of town and it’s just before the traffic lights on the RHS about 50 before the traffic lights. I’ll try and get the bane but if you phone Ani who dies all the documentation +34 627 503 061 she will advise.

You will have to start the process all again...there are no short cuts...

TIE change of address

You can carry out this procedure online or at the foreigners office of the Policia Nacional. Take an updated padron certificate with new address. Passport and copies. tasa and the form below:
See CAB web site

Seen as your Name, Face and Fingerprints won't have altered, plus they hold all that information digitally anyway, why!! would you need to do the whole process again, unless the companies that push the idea are making more money out of it.

We've done it and it was basically a repeat of the process when getting it originally. They need to see your new padron, but the rest of it was the same i.e. two visits to the national police etc. The CAB website says you can also do it online, but doesn't say how so maybe ask them first to be sure.

Your driving licenses can, however, be done online on the dgt website which is a bonus.

I have a feeling this post is one of the many pfishing ones we are getting lately.
Just someone with the odd post who comes up with silly things like this.
But just in case, what if you are buying something or going to the bank or whatever and they want your TIE which contains your address?

As i said, probably one of those pfishing ones that we shouldn't respond to but I bit.
