I use comparethemarket and similar online sites in the UK for my annual cover but found this (see below) that may help you travelling from Spain - No need to go to high street insurers - As a comparison from comparethemarket I managed to get my European Annual this week for £55 (with 2 medical disclosures - Retired age.) I could have got it £10 cheaper but preferred the lower excess (£100 instead of £150).
