Can anyone recommend an insurance company that will cover buildings & contents for a holiday home please??

I've heard good reports about Rightmove Insurance, who have an office in Ciudad Quesada.

Looking at their site, it seems you can give them your details at any time, and they'll contact you approximately 2 months before your renewal date with a quote.

I hadn't realised that the law in Spain is that the client has to give 2 months notice to their existing insurer to change provider, so I learned something by looking at their site!!

We are with Intasure they are based in the UK and only insure holiday homes. We found them very competitive on pricing and no 2 months notice to switch. Worth a look and getting a quote to compare:

The notice period has been reduced to one month for Spanish companies. However, this is one month from them receiving the notification of cancellation so make sure it is done in time.

We use Linea Directa as we have found them to be the best value for house and contents insurance. If you have their car insurance you get a discount on House insurance too.
