Hi can anyone advise, can I insure my car that is on English plates with a Spanish insurance company.the car is also mot,d in england and I pay road tax to dvla in england.Regards julie

Yes, although we used Abbeygate from Gribalta as the Spanish company we tried would only insure us 3rd party fire and theft. At the time we didn't have an NIE number so that may have been why.

Good evening, our company is Liberty who accepts english plates providing that the car is on current MOT. The insurance also provides 24hrs. road assistance and breakdown cover within european countries, UK included.

Liberty also takes over any current no claim discount up to 55%, while after another two claimfree years will grant up to 65%, as their max. discount and in addition is now offering their cash back promo. €30 on car, €60 on house and €60 on life or loan protector insurance.
