Hi, has anyone had experience (good or bad) using a Solicitor as Power of Attorney at the point of sale of your property here in Spain. Any feedback or knowledge would be very much appreciated.

Just make sure you make the POA for the single sale of the house.

Just giving anyone a normal POA means they can borrow on the house or even sell it..

..It probably won´t happen, but just be careful ...

Excellent point, but just to say I have used POA twice with different companies and had no problem.

The POA is only as good and reliable as the person you give it to. It's putting 100% of your trust in the person. Try Silvia at Sgm Abogados in Benijofar. She has my POA and I trust her and her firm implicitly.

As well as making the POA specific, rather than general, for absolute security you could revoke the POA after your house purchase is complete.
