Bungalow Insurance

Good morning.
My name is Clive.
I'm new to this site and I and my wife Kaz have decided to buy a small bungalow in Quesada after meeting some lovely people whilst on holiday there in September.
I'm buying a holiday bungalow in Pueblo Bravo, hoping to complete soon and the legal firm handing my purchase has said that I will need house insurance. They have offered to provide me with a quote but what I should be looking to pay for an annual policy on a holiday home please?
Its a two bedroom attached bungalow on a small complex with roof solarium.
Is there a broker somewhere in Quesada that I should consider using?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Clive n Kaz.

Around 200 euro a year give or take 10%. Seems about right for a 2 bed property.
There are several insurance brokers in Quesada that you can shop around but the most important thing is to get information on how well the companies are at paying out in case of a claim.
There have been some horror stories of companies trying everything to get out of paying.

Marcliff as usual seems on the mark price wise . .

A couple of pointers . . People get confused between Brokers and insurance companies, Cunningham's in Quesada and Salts bay in La Marina for example are Brokers and usually tend to use Liberty Seguros as the Insurance Company, where Mapfre, Liberty Seguros or Linea Directa are Insurance Companies. My preference would be via a good brokerage as they can assist on claims if you are not present.

Make absolutely sure whoever you use are aware that it's a holiday home and could be unoccupied for long periods as, like in the UK, many have limits on how long it's empty for.

Check to see if your community has group insurance for buildings as some do.

Check the price with your bank too as sometimes if you take out some kind of insurance with them you get free banking

I've used Rightmove Insurance and Ibex Insurance, both are brokers in Quesada and both are very good. You should be able to Google their contact details.

There are no Insurance Brokers in Quesada but there are Insurance Agents and the ones mentioned are agents of certain Insurance companies
An Insurance Broker is a far different company that can seek insurance quotes from any insurance company that will meet the needs of the client
An agent can only use the companies that they have an agency for
