my personal experience......I am with Liberty Seguros and I had a big water leak 18 months ago that went undetected for ages and when we realised, the cost of the lost water was over 1200 euros. Liberty would not pay for the lost water, only for the repair to the supply pipe in the front garden. we found a second leak 3 weeks later in a different part of the supply pipe and liberty would not pay for that because apparently, one can only make one claim per year for burst pipes. In the end we paid ourselves to replace the whole supply pipe with a new one on our side of the meter., what a saga...

No they don’t. It depends on where the leak is and whether you’ve specified it when taking out the policy. Its an extra cost. Because ours was a leak under the patio tiles, not covered.

Dear @chrisdee

I have an account and insurance with Sabadell Bank. Unfortunately, I pay an annual fee of approximately 160 Euros for maintaining a bank account, which I only have to pay for services. I have insurance with Sabadell for about 235 Euro per year for the house.
Can you confirm that you have free banking management? I am about to deal with the bank, so this would help me a lot.

Thank you Paul.

The neighbours got talked into doing it that way, house insurance = no fees. They said the insurance was also cheaper with the bank,. My dad has his pension paid into the bank and his is also free banking, all Sabadell.

No wonder you get free banking at 120 euros a month, I think there is a typo error there Fred?

Given "inflation" (as calculated by supermarkets), €120 a month may be a bargain!!!

In fairness you should point out that you are Spanish resident. Non resident Sabadell accounts attract a basic 160 euro charge, plus extras for things like extra card etc.

I can't understand why people pay these charges!
