House Insurance

I have just been informed by email that my house insurance with Sabadell is 390 euros

A quick email search has shown that full cover by a company named Feather is 189 euros.
A very big difference
I would be grateful for any advice as this is my first full year to use home insurance in Spain

Never heard of feather insurance. Try giving Sunbay insurance call, tell them what you've been quoted and see what they can do. They are very helpful.

Scroll down to similar topics and you'll see loads of threads on House Insurance.
Banks don't actually insure you, they insure you through a third party insurance company and then add their commission on top which is why they are always the most expensive.

Just be careful that the T&Cs don't make insurance a precondition for lower charges.

You need to make sure when you cancel with Sabadell you give them plenty of notice else they will just take it and say you didn't cancel in time.

Thanks Marcliffe
What we need for the forum is a list of insurance companies where we can log
onto each one for a quote

Ha! Wasn’t aware of that :text-lol:
Thought it would just be the most obvious solution unless of course ‘what you need from the forum’ is for others to do the googling for you!

I would venture to suggest the obvious, that google only support the insurers that support them, so watch out for non objectivity.
