Hi, my husband and I have recently got the keys to our new home in quesada. I'm coming out shortly to clean and prepare our house. I won't be driving, and will not have transport, however, Il need to somehow get to a supermarket for cleaning things etc. Is there a "man with a van" that I could rent for perhaps half a day, or would I be able to just use a taxi? Any advise welcome.

Yes, Consum deliver. They will deliver the same day- You go down, pick your supplies and tell the check out that you want delivery and they will tell you what time they deliver.. they are very good..

Thankyou so much for all your help....is Consum a "big" supermarket? I was thinking about an amazon delivery...I could order from Britain....and arrange delivery in Spain...but I'm only gonna be there for a few days this time...so don't know if I could pin point delivery down to one or two days...and for that matter...just how reliable it is in Spain?

We have found Consum very reliable.. in fact we have had to tell them to slow down the delivery as we couldn't get home quick enough to meet them there.. :D

I have no doubt Mercadonna and the Smart shop are the same but we have never used them...

No, they do not sell electrical goods etc. It is a supermarket and does sell a few odd things like cutlery and baking dishes etc but not much else. Most things can be bought from the Chinese shops but I doubt they would deliver.

Big supermarkets like AlCampo and Carrefour do everything but they are some distance away. You can order online for delivery but, if you're going to do that, you might as well use Amazon.

Quesada is a bit of a no-no if you don't have your own transport. Taxis to the larger towns which do have such shops are quite expensive (I'm talking around 40 something euro return just to Carrefour) and we do not have any sort of reliable and regular bus service.
