With unemployment as high as it is in Spain I find it unbelievable that taxis in quesada are almost extinct! I have lots of people renting my villa and they get frustrated with no bus service to guardamar and not a taxi in sight! I do give them contacts to friends who will run them around if needed! It's about time the local government addresses the taxi licence system as I'm sure there are plenty of unemployed would purchase a license and contribute to income tax! Very frustrating and very backwards Spain as usual!

We were given a list of taxi numbers from Rojales town hall, which may be of help - One of them, Taxi Number 4, is mentioned by toonsandballooons above and Taxi Number 2 is advertised in Rosa Tours in Quesada - See below :

Another vote for taxi 4, Domingo. Used they guy for a few years now to the airport, always reliable be it 5 am, 10 am or midnight. He took us back at 5 am on Tuesday, Quesada - Alicante 45 Euro. Faultless.

Just don't expect a chatty, cheery chap!!!

Sounds like my kind of taxi driver!

We ordered a taxi in advance on-line from Alicante recently and it was very reliable and he was very nice and chatty & friendly ...all the time !!! :). However, after a tiring journey from the UK, I would rather have a Spanish taxi driver who doesn't feel obliged to ask questions for most of the journey and give us too much of a challenge of having to use our depleted brain-power to work out the answers in the poco espaƱol that we have.
