Advice on buying property in Benimar/Atalaya Park please?

We're coming for another look around next week, with a view to buying somewhere. Having looked around in May, Benimar/Atalaya Park looks to be a decent option for us. I don't want to drive everywhere and it appears to be easily walkable to Quesada centre and also to the shops/bars in Benimar and Benijofar.
One plus is that we've got two Springer Spaniels, who are not used to being exercised on leads, and there appears to be plenty of scrubland around, where they can have a run.
So are there any downsides to Benimar/Benijofar (other than those pylons) that I should know about if I'm going to buy somewhere in that area? I know you've got to drive all the way round if you want to get to Quesada, but that's not an issue. Just wondering if there's anything I've not thought of.

It depends on where you are in both those places. It can be quite a long walk from Atalaya Park to Quesada if you are on the far side up from Mercadona.
Same with Benimar which goes a long way out.
Both are nice places with some nice, reasonably priced properties.

It's true, both areas are a good option if you want to be within close shot of the centre of Quesada, without being in Quesada itself. Benimar is a little further from the centre, but is closer to Rojales and Benijofar towns, as well as having it's own large commercial centre with a large choice of bars and restaurants etc. Atalaya park was a different builder from most of Quesada and is closer to the centre of Quesada, but the properties are much cheaper generally there than elsewhere in the area. Then you have Atalaya (not park) which is closer to the aquaparl and which is also a nice area, with very close walking distance into Quesada.
Be careful of those power lines. As they are now accepted as being a big problem for health, the likelihood of selling a house in the future which is under them is very slim. I saw with amazement the other day that a company is building almost directly under the cables in Atalaya! They must have got the land cheap, but good luck finding buyers..

Good summary from newchocs we live at the bottom of Benimar which is great for our centre and Rojaes/Benijofar but a drive to Quesada people I have spoken to in Rojales hills have often complained about the walk down the hill to Benimar or more so the walk back but if you want to be closer to Quesada the top end would be good. to sum up all area's have benefits it just depends on what you want.

We live on Atalaya Park not the Atalaya's and our property is up for sale if you would like to view. We have lived here for 9 years, the only reason we selling is going back to UK for personal family reasons. Your dogs would love the area as we ourselves had a springer when we moved in and she loved it. Any visitors we have had absolutely loved the area as everything is available close by.

Lizmoore, what is the property you are selling? If the OP is not interested, we are planning on moving and will be looking for a place to buy.

Thanks everyone for the information. We're looking for a 3 bed 2 bath min Liz, but the offer's appreciated anyway. Although we're viewing properties in both Quesada and Benimar, we're staying in Benimar this time to get a better feel for the place. We might be on our way to being Spanish property owners by this time next week. Who knows!

Try sending a quick email to some of the companies mentioned in this forum. The person recommendations are great and probably the best way you'll find the best properties available. Good luck :)
