I am moving to Spain. Can you tell me if Quesada is ideal for a single lady. I have looked around so many places and liked the look of Camposol and Quesada. This will be my permanent home, which is why I am being so fussy. Is it easy to make friends in Quesada. Are there many permanent expat people living there.

I think you would be fine. Quesada has very few Spanish in it - it's virtually all expats. There are various clubs there and in Rojales you could join. I suggest you take a long term rental to see if it suits you. HTH.

We Lived on D sector on Camposol for over 12yrs, we were over 7km to the shops and main bars. So definitely need a car. The nearest hospital was in Cartagena which was 40mins away. The port is lovely but for big shops again a drive to Murcia or Cartagena. There is a good community spirit but we have just moved to Quesada to be able to walk to things and not have to use a car every day. Just depends on what you are looking for.

Hi I live in Quesada lots of ladies clubs and ladies lunch clubs plus a couple of groups for older singles who find themselves on their own. I think you would love it I'm on my own and find it much more sociable than the U.K.

Thanks everybody for your comments they were all very helpful. Just got to sell my house in Uk, which is proving very difficult. One question do I bring my furniture or just my personal things? I have had a quote this end and it was over £6000, which is ridiculous. Anybody got any suggestions?
What a great site this is. Aboyne

We have just moved here, Kevin from Silverdale has done a fantastic job for us. We were not going to bring furniture with us, but then saw the prices to buy new and it was more cost effective to bring it with us. The same goes for electrical goods. Ask Kevin to give you a quote.
