I have looked for a post about these tiny, tiny bettles in the house, but cannot find it again so hope the person who first posted about them see this,,I also have been finding them,,not in great amounts, but enough to wonder where they are coming from?
So i think i have now found the answer, it was on an american site,, they said it come from the tiny weevils that you find in flour etc, that is in the packet of flour when you buy it, those tiny weevils turn into this small beetle, they said to clean area, and when you buy flour to keep it in fridge for a time, cant remember now how long, but that will kill the weevils, so no more beetles,it seems odd to me i have never found them in uk in flour, and whn i buy here i put the bag staight unoppened into a glass jar, so how they get out is a mystery to me, but looking at the pictures i feel this is correct,so i have now empptied my cupboard of all flour and ceareals and will start again.
Hope this helps, you have to look for the tiny weevil in flour, you wouldnt know it was there,it is like tiny speck of pepper.

I think it was me that first asked what these pests were! I have done the same as you suggest as people told me on the digest what they could be.
Despite throwing cereals and flour away, I am still seeing a few. I spray all around each night but, though now reduced, they are not completely eradicated. Thanks for the tip about flour. I will put the new packets into the fridge!

I keep my newly bought flour in the freezer inside a food bag and have never had a problem since. I think the freezer kills them off. I usually keep it in there until my cupboard jar is empty wash it then fill it up.

Ours were not in the flour but in cat biscuits... they must have thought all their Christmases had come at once...It was an unopened bag of Mercadonna cat biscuits but they son got out and were everywhere.. took a while but we seem to have eradicated them now...

We have never found them in flour...
